Description
We have a special event planned for our December 20th meeting. Join us to enjoy a healthy brunch and practice a little self-care with an experienced wellness professional, Candace Weeda and hear from Mental Health expert, Gavin Sundquist.
Sometimes we need to pause, breathe, and give ourselves a little self-love! In this casual, seated yoga class we will learn together and lean into simple coping tools such as stretching, breath work and meditation. It’s essential we all learn healthy, safe ways to manage our stresses. Attendees will walk away with multiple practices to help balance and find inner peace- what a gift!
Please invite others from your organization or other nonprofits who may be interested in the Nonprofit Alliance. We will have a Zoom option, but highly encourage you to attend in person.
Guest Speaker: Candace Weeda owns her own wellness business - Cascading Wellness.believes in a holistic approach to healing and wellness. Yoga has been a very supportive tool for her personally as she focuses on mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Candace is passionate about empowering others, especially those in rural America, to take good care of themselves. As a lifelong dancer and multi-sport athlete, she knows how essential it is to care for our physical vessels in a sustainable, loving, and supportive way. Yoga first came into her life at age 17. Candace has been on a personal journey since then of learning, growing, and healing. Her budding wellness business in Cascade, Montana, Cascading Wellness, strives to provide various healthy outlets to those in rural America with limited access to services. She believes in the healing power of nature, movement, music, and art. Most recently, Candace completed a prenatal/birth/postpartum doula and yoga teacher training so she can more fully support women and their families.
Guest Speaker: Gavin Sundquist works at Youth Dynamics – Great Falls as Family Coach Program Manager/Family Coach Trainer and Certified Trauma Informed. Gavin will share some information around the importance of how to care for your personal mental health when encountering secondary trauma for your clients, co-workers, friends, family, and other past experiences. Gavin will also share some resources of places to gain greater help, especially during the holiday season.
